Weekly Photo Challenge: Focus

Focus. This week’s challenge is inspired by Matthew George’s post on focus, in which he introduced us to the basics of depth of field and aperture. He explained what an image with a shallow depth of field looks like (or conversely, a photo with a greater depth of field), and how the aperture setting on your camera affects it.

Sunflower, field,

We were travelling back from Victoria (Australia) when we came upon this field of sunflowers. It was an amazing site as we’d never seen a field of them before.

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)

  5. Often when we travel through South Dakota in the summer, we see fields of sunflowers. Unfortunately, as we’re on the interstate, we can’t stop. But they do make me smile.
