Hump Day Post: When in Rome…

A few years ago, we had the chance of visiting Italy for a few days and, being a tourist, our aim was to see as much of it as possible (as you do!)

We were totally overwhelmed by the Vatican City!

St Peter’s Square is impressive to say the least with the Apostolic Palace (official Pope Residence) in the background here. St Peter’s Basilica was mind blowing with huge doorways and oversized everything mostly covered with gold.

A must for the senses!

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)

So much to see and it is, indeed, awe inspiring.

  2. We too were fortunate enough to spend some time in Italy, and I’m still amazed when I see photos of the architecture. If it is not on a person’s bucket list, it should be. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Beautiful photos! I would love to travel there one day. ๐Ÿ˜€
