Hump Day Post: Farewell to 2014!

Well, I’ve been blogging for about eighteen months now – I set out to share my travels with you and I hope you’ve enjoyed them from your armchair.

This year however, we didn’t do a great deal of travel as the big ‘C’ struck our family and holidays were placed on the back burner. We’ve learned various ways of coping with letting go, grief, loss and now know the many ways grieving manifests on each one of us, some coping better than others 😦   ~  but, the year ends today, so hopefully the new year will be better!

A very brief recap of this year: I posted 264 photos and the most popular post was Descend

A BIG ‘Thank You’  for all your ‘Follows‘ and ‘Likes‘ and my apologies if I haven’t returned them as I should have 😦

On a happier note, we have planned some trips for 2015 –  so fingers crossed, we’ll make up for it 🙂

I’d like to wish you all a very Warm, Happy and Healthy New Year

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)

  5. Thank you Maxima. I like the term, ‘dear friend’ 🙂 I hope 2015 brings you many rewards in your life one of which is bound to be through your talented writing!

  6. We were recently hit with that dreaded word as well, with my husband’s mother. We are taking things day by day, and know that 2015 will be a year full of joy and hope. Wishing you all the best in the new year! 🙂
