Weekly Photo Challenge: Happy Place

This week Krista has asked us to share our happy place.

For me, my happy place is undoubtedly the beach.

If I’m troubled, confused or sad I find myself there.

The minute I take my shoes off, I make contact with nature and hear myself breath out. Each step seems to erase my worries one at a time.

I notice my foot prints in the sand, hear the seagull’s call and the waves lapping. Looking ahead I see children making sand castles, running to the sea to collect water and pour it around their sand moat. Giggles, laughter. I find myself smiling at their simple pleasures.

I inhale and the salt air neutralise and balance me. I look around and the crowds are far behind me now. I continue walking and then, there’s silence, only the waves.

I feel the warm sun on my back and know I’m blessed. 😍

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)

    • Airlie Beach was a beautiful spot Ana. Yes, I did catch up with Noli for a couple of days – I hadn’t seen her for well over a year and a half, so it was good. Have a safe trip next week, remember to send me photos when you can 😊
