Weekly Photo Challenge: Ornate

This week, Ben has challenged us to, ‘Share something unabashedly ornate — where it’s clear that the creators pulled no stops and went all out.’

When travelling through Europe, one place we always look at is churches. I love the architecture and workmanship of them – both inside and out. We’re not religious, but they are so unabashedly ornate. It’s hard for the senses to grasp what lays before you. Equally, it’s hard to find words to describe them, specially when there’s so much gold in them.

So, let a picture paint a thousand words.

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)
