Hump Day Post: Postcard from Ningaloo Reef

As some of the northern hemisphere continue with their cold spell, I thought I’d send you a Postcard from sunny Australia, to warm the cockles of your heart.

Cape Range NP, WA, July 2015, (13 of 216) July 2015

Ningaloo Reef, WA

We were here last year and had an amazing experience. You can snorkel, dive and swim with whale sharks. We did that last year cheek it out here.

So, here’s a brief about the area…

Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia is a dream come true for snorkelers and divers. Regarded as one of the last great ocean paradises on Earth, it is Australia’s largest fringing reef and lies just metres from the shore in many places, so you can snorkel straight off the beach. It’s wold heritage listed and I could go on for ever, but your best bet is to look here.

Browse through and enjoy 🙂

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)

  2. This is almost de ja vu, we stayed at Osprey in 2015 and I broke my ankle at Edith Falls in Katherine. Osprey, Cape Range, Charles Knife were stunning and then every night a big orange full moon came up over the range just to cap it off. Thanks for reminding me of this beautiful place.
