Hump Day Post: Postcard from China

So, a couple of weeks ago, a friend and I went to China for a quick ‘look see’.

Our days were full twelve hours with plenty of movement required which I was unable to do easily.

My trip was a blur as a few weeks before we left, I developed Hip Bursitis or Trochanteric Bursitis which is a bundle of joy! 😢  so, drugged up with pain killers, I forged on for five days. That’s all I could manage!

Still, it’s a good reason to return when I’m over this Bursitis and let me tell you, I’m over it!!

Here then, are a few memories for you to enjoy – pain-free! 😊

About Retired2Travel

My passion has been for many, many years landscape photography so when the chance came up to retire early, in order to travel, I took it! It made sense then to marry the two (travel and photography) and create this blog. I hope you enjoy it :)

  2. I’ve never heard anyone refer to a trip to China as a “quick look see.” Only a very experienced traveler like yourself could pull that off. Hoping you are also back to good health and feeling great again.

    • I never thought of it like that Judy, I meant it wasn’t a long visit 🙂 I’m looking forward to having my good health back again – my body has decided that, ‘slowly does it!’ I think it’s trying to slow me down and I have to respect that!

    • It’s about 77km and should take under two hours to drive but can take a lot more due to the very heavy traffic they have in Beijing. Thanks for the encouragement 🙂
